My letter of disassociation, what do you think?
by James Jack indear brothers, july 27, 2020. in 1919, the president of the watchtower society made a bold prediction, “millions now living will never die”.
that quotation was constantly repeated by the organization till the year 2000 when they realized that everyone in attendance at that assembly, who listened to j.r. rutherford repeat those words, are dead.. that teaching has guided my life.
statements were repeatedly made at assemblies, conventions and in print that there was no career in “this system of things” so you don’t need a job with benefits or retirement, your fulltime job is to “preach the good news”!

When will people wake up and understand the WTBS is talking about the 2nd coming of Elvis. Elders in my ex-cong have been eagerly awaiting the day.
They are not interested in Jesus Christ because Jesus Christ did not sing this:-

by Sea Breeze inhttps://www.sltrib.com/religion/2020/07/20/mormonleaks-founders-pay/?fbclid=iwar31g8tcjkq3dtzxjx6mhinhqnk6fequaiwu_278zkhia6vmbyb6ha_jz28.

Hi Vidiot - love the idea of Scientology suing WTS.
Now check this out - I just read this comment by a blogger -
I believe that in the Arab countries they have already plans to open up a ‘Chrislam’ centre in 2022...
If that blogger is right, there's going to be a new religion which involves Islam plus bits of Christianity - oh so very Watchtower.
Maybe Watchtower will start to call itself Chrislamic - and maybe Scientology will sue it.
Will there be new light that, with a bit of mathematical jiggerypokery suddenly gets the 7 times from 607 BCE landing on 570 CE the supposed birth of Mohammed?
All they gotta do is change the times in time, times and half a time from 2 to 6 and it's job done.
Place your bets folks. Will they, wont they?

2020 Convention Friday Highlights: Information Control and Hypocrisy
by neat blue dog inthere's yet another talk to add to the list of talks written specifically for damage control against "apostates".
the speaker says, "some who were once part of the christian congregation attempt to mislead us", that they tell "false accusations" & "lies".
to combat this, he says that you should "protect your ears from damaging noise by not listening to it", comparing it to wearing "noise canceling headphones".

Tony must realise that those who are fully in rarely listen to/understand Watchtower teachings. Therefore when confronted with conflicting information they'll swallow down any old camel.

Sea Breeze - evidently the Watchtower is the solution to the World's problem. Oppenheimer just gave us weapons of mass destruction, but Watchtower brought us boredom.
What a wonderful vision of life in a peaceful new world.
Thank you Sea Breeze.

It seems similar to the approach Scientology.takes to it's media output/teachings.
WT is a mix. From my research all it's false doctrines have their roots in Theo Sufism. Sufism is a kind of Islam. Combine this with Scientology's copyright obession and you have a secret organisation, which is hard to investigate posing as Christian, which is really a form of Islam based on Marvel Comics.
Oh that sounds about right.

What's Wrong with the Watchtower?
by Vanderhoven7 innot sure who wrote this list a while back but i think it is worth a repeat....to be added to or subtracted from or modified...whatever.. what's wrong with the watchtower.
"overlapping generations" - this teaching makes no sense.
the word used by jesus is in the singular, not plural form.. .

Can disfellowshipped individuals attend the Video Meetings
by StephaneLaliberte injust a quesiton: can disfellowshipped individuals attend the video meetings.
if they can, do they have to turn off their video and sound?
can they attend with their family?

Overrated
Why would a DF or DA person want to sit in on one of those zoom meetings?
To sit there grinning like a Cheshire cat and listen intently as the PIMOs took hold of their freedom and gave the elders hell in no uncertain manner. Then how will they disfellowship anybody with a large part of the congregation blowing spiritual raspberries at them?

Guns...Are You For or Against Legally Owning Them?
by minimus inthere is a surge going on of people buying guns, especially first time buyers.
with talk of police defunding and rioting in the neighborhoods, some people want to protect themselves.. do you support owning and using a gun if needed?.
-
Anna Marina
I think trust and a good information network is the safest community defence. Some people are SO dangerous a gun isn't really going to give you much protection. Especially if you are a bad shot.
